Databases provide access to all sorts of information -- including articles from newspapers, popular magazines and academic journals. If your assignment calls for scholarly, academic, or peer reviewed sources only, look for the option to limit your results to "Peer Reviewed".
Publications are written for different purposes and different audiences. Generally, there are three types of publications: scholarly, popular, and trade publications.
