Activities

• Ask students to retrieve web resources with specific domain types (.gov, .edu, .com).

• Ask students to conduct searches in Google, GoogleScholar, and RitzDiscovery and compare their results.

• Ask students to refine their results in Google (advanced search), GoogleScholar, and RitzDiscovery.

• Ask students to use Boolean operators to do the following:

  • Expand their results
  • Limit their results
  • Exclude results

• Ask students to use a Ritz Library service (Book-a-Librarian, AskUs 24/7) for help with a challenging search or even just to connect with a simple question or task.
